The Convocation address, “Cultivating the Character Quality of Acceptance,” was presented in September 2009 at the South India Biblical Seminary, Bangarpet, India. The address speaks to the role of education in shaping the Christian character quality of acceptance in the leaders and the led.
The paper highlights the vitally important character-shaping biblical value of ‘acceptance’ (Romans 15:7) in leadership development.
The presentation reflects on how an attitude of acceptance is shaped and nurtured by three compelling convictions: who we are as the People of God; what we are to do in the work of God; and how we live together as the family of God.
A PowerPoint presentation to accompany this address is also available.
