Description / Abstract
The article as presented was slightly edited and re-printed in August 2019 as “Forever Yes: My Spirit-led Journey with Nazarene Higher Education” in Holiness Today.
The “journey” begins with a spiritual encounter at Trevecca Nazarene College (now University). It weaves it way through European Nazarene Bible College in Busingen, Germany, and the Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary, Manila Philippines to Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
After 18 years as president of MVNU, the journey continues as Education Commissioner and administrator of the International Board of Education (IBOE), Church of the Nazarene. The Church of the Nazarene has 51 colleges, universities, and seminaries on campuses and learning centers in 120 world area, with resources linked together in a network of support and collaboration under the IBOE.
The transforming and transformative “Yes, Lord,” has led the writer on a Spirit-inspired, meaning-filled journey that is still unfolding!
